My Dads a Geek

Alas its true ... anyone who knows me realizes I am just a kid stuck in a grown up body (which, unfortunately keeps getting older!). This was recently demonstrated by my giddy excitement at achieving a certain level at a game called runescape.

After hours of dedicatd playing (over weeks and months) I achieved the higest level possible for a skill I had been training. My reward for all this hard work was ... a cape which had a fist on the back and did a little 'emote' of me lifting a dumbell.

I, of course, wanted to share this happy moment with my wife (to whom I dedicate this amazing accomplishment) and my little girl who proudly wears the onsie proclaiming her dad forever a geek!

This is Aly's happy face (laced with sarcasm) but I honestly appreciated her being there and I know deep down inside she was just as excited as I was :).

IMC Dinner Cruise

Wika had a clinic ALL week, in fact this one was a 6 day clinic rather than the usual 5 day (Mon-Fri). His work was trying a "different" approach to the clinics. One of the changes was they wanted to take the clients on a dinner cruise. They were gracious enough to let Emma and I tag along. Emma did very well, she loved to go up on top and feel the breeze. She ended up staying awake WAY past her bed time...and she repaid me by waking up at 3:30AM!! Thanks baby girl!! :)

The best news is...probably no more 6-day clinics!! Thank heavens, nobody enjoys working a FULL day on a Saturday! It's the WEEKEND, no one should have to work. ;)


This is our ride to and from the dinner cruise, nice wheels eh? This would be Emma's first Limo ride!!

So Tired!!!

So there have been many occasions when Emma just falls asleep from utter exhaustion!! I mean come on...it's tuff being a baby!! So the first three pictures are from one evening when Dad was working on the computer, and mom was making dinner. Usually when we put her on her little Giddy-up-and-go mat, you can hear her talking while she is there. Well, after a little while I couldn't hear her so I went to check on her, and that is what I saw. Thumb in mouth and totally asleep. Isn't it the cutest thing you ever did see? I can't say I am too thrilled about the thumb sucking, we will be working on this as she gets a bit older!!

And as for the last two pictures, I needed to shower and get ready; so I had to take her in the bathroom with me. She just sat in her bouncy chair, and was having a great time. I started to blow my hair dry and that just knocked her right out!! SO TIRED!! I looked down and found her little toy lying on top of her head and her just sound asleep. She is just so stinking cute, and such a joy to the both of us. We just love her SO much. We consider ourselves pretty lucky to have gotten her!!

Baby Emma Likes to Dance to Abba!

Hi Folks,

After the amazing job Aly has done creating posts I thought it would be my turn ... but its always hard to know what to blog about. Then Aly decided to show me how much Emma loves to dance ... especially to Abba! I had to pull out the video recorder (Thanks to Mom and Dad for helping us keep these memories! Best Christmas present EVER! ... After my iPhone of course).

Oh POOP! *warning* graphic pictures posted

So I don't know about you other moms out there...but for some reason my little Emma will only do her "business" while feeding?!? So I was feeding today and of course I heard the big BANG...and knew exactly what was going on. But as you know, the first squirt is NEVER the last; so I did what any mother would do...I kept feeding!! I felt her back and could feel it coming through and didn't think it was THAT BAD. I thought to myself "the damage is done, just finish feeding on this side, and then change her." BAD IDEA!! She finished and I took her into her room to change her, and what a mess!! I got her naked and all cleaned up and just started laughing...I HAD to blog this!! (note:this isn't her first blow out...but it's the first to be blogged)

So here we have the back of her Onesie-

And just when I thought I had it all cleaned up, I looked down-yup that is my pants!!


All happy and dressed-I thought it appropriate to put her in her "fortune" onesie which reads....

Who does Emma look like?

So we decided to do a side by side of Emma and Alyson, and also Emma and Wika...we just want some feed back as to who she looks like more. These are the best photos we can find with both parents as babies; so we had to try and mimick them with Emma the best we could! Let us know what you think!






She definitely has a bit of both of us in her, or at least we think so!! All I know is she is ADORABLE, so I guess that means we were/are pretty stinking cute also!

USANADA!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Olympics; but we have a bit of a dilema. WHO DO WE CHEER FOR? My heart stills belongs to the good ole USA, but a very large piece of me now belongs to Canada. So we have come to the conclusion that there isn't one team we have to cheer for...we can cheer for both!!

Go team USA and Go team Canada!!

We may as well add in Great Britain and the Czech Republic!! Why? BECAUSE WE CAN! ...so many to cheer for! SO MUCH FUN!





GO TEAMS GO!

I will have to say the Mens 4x100 meter relay swim has been the highlight for us so far!! Gosh we LOVE the Olympics!
