WE'RE HERE!

After a full 24 hours...so to speak...of flying we are here in the beautiful city of Prague. It's nice to finally be off the plane. Emma was a trooper...she had a very hard time sleeping on the plane. She is a VERY wild sleeper, so sleeping on a very small chair was a bit difficult. Anytime she went to move she would wake up, and sometimes when she woke up...she stayed up. On our 9 hour flight from Vancouver to Manchester she slept a total of...2.5 hours; and the flight from Manchester to Prague she slept the whole time...at that point she was TOTALLY exhausted. By the time that flight took off, it was 6AM Vancouver time...and she had only had 2.5 hours...so it didn't matter what the circumstances where-she was just TIRED!

We managed to keep ourselves awake until 9:30 (prague time) and then we all crashed. Emma thought it would be a good idea to wake up at 4 AM this morning, so I think, it will be a VERY long day!! Sure do love jetlag!!

We are heading to Spain tomorrow...keep you posted!!

Yes Emma, you still need to nap!!

I know it's a bit long...but totally worth it!! This is our little Emma at the dinner table, man was she struggling!! This just goes to show that YES Emma you still need your afternoon nap!!

Why Canada is trying VERY hard to keep me!

We now have Five Guys AND Grandma Sycamore bread (in Bellingham...not Canada, but with NEXUS it's VERY close). Not to mention Coldstone's, Papa Johns and Gandolfo's!! Now all we need is Cafe Rio and well, there is NO reason for us to go back to Utah! Oh except for family of course!! :o)

Party like it's 1999!

Yesterday we had one more party for the most beautiful little 2 year old. We decided that because she was only 2 we would just have a BBQ with our friends, with some great food and let the little ones play.

Of course there had to be cake and ice cream! So the creative girl in me decided to make the cake. I really want to learn how to properly decorate a cake and will be taking the classes that Michaels offers...but I can't do that until my crazy Summer is over with. So I bought the GIANT cupcake pan and just made a cute BIG cupcake. Frosted it white and then used the "spray" frosting in pink and purple...per Emma's request. It didn't turn out how I wanted but, I am still pretty happy about it. Can't wait to practice some more.

Since we had a bigger group, I made some regular cupcakes to make sure everyone had cake!

Opening her presents...everyone wanted in on the action. She got a Zhu Zhu pet hamster named Scoodles...which she LOVES. A Dr Seuss book...also LOVES. A gift card and a little trinket box for all her "pretties" and it has pink fur, so of course she LOVES it too. Thank you to all her cute friends for coming, Emma had a GREAT time.

Time to say goodbye!! Too stinking cute. Just sad my battery died so I didn't get more of the hugging!

Good food and even better company. Thank you to our wonderful friends for your love and support! You're Awesome.

2 years already??

So on May 8, 2008 at approx 6:00 AM, I had apparently HAD it with being prego. So I got out of bed and had me a swig of castor oil along with some oj and then headed back to bed!! Guess what? It worked!! 7 hours later contractions started and we headed to the hospital. A few hours after that, at 4:17 PM our little princess joined our family. And we couldn't be happier!!

One year ago today...our little princess had to spend her birthday in Primary Children's. But she still had a smile on her face (most of the time) It wasn't fun at all, and I hope to NEVER have to relive that experience!!

This year she turned 2!! She had a fun party with all of her cousins in Utah a month ago, and will be having a party with her friends up here on Saturday!!

We started our day off with PANCAKES for breakfast, as they are her favorite. She then got her "car" present, as all she wants to do these days is DRIVE! She then went shopping with daddy (I was at a mother's day brunch for our ward) and then to the park to run, run and run a bit more. That totally wore her out so it was time for a nap, just to wake up 1 1/2 hours later for more shopping and playing in the sun!! We finished the night off with her other favorite, TACOS! We hope she had a great birthday! She is no longer our baby, but our "big girl" !!

5 inches!!!

So we were down in Utah for a week in April. My little sister and her husband were blessing their little boy Crew!! It was our first time meeting him...so CUTE!!

While we were there I decided it was time...time for Emma to get her first hair cut!! I'm not going to lie, I was terrified!! I love her hair, but it was getting to the "straggly" point. And something needed to be done! So we headed down to American Fork where my dear sister in law Charakie, did the honors of giving Emma her FIRST EVER hair cut!! She actually took about 5 inches off!! Crazy, but I think it turned out DARLING!! It looks way healthier now!! Big THANKS to Charakie!! We sure do love you!!

She was a bit unsure about the chair, so mommy sat with her. She had her sucker and iPhone, she was good to go.
